Metric entered into a contract with Laem Samrong Co., Ltd. for the project management, planning and design of a resort & spa hotel to be built on a 48 rai land plot on a peninsula, named Laem ‘Samrong, north of Koh Samui.   Aside from the architectural & structural designs,  Metric was responsible for the designs of interior decoration, landscape, civil & site work, mechanical system and electrical system.  Major project contents were 110 Guest Villas of 5 different types, Main Restaurant, Specialty Restaurant, Main Bar, ‘Pool Bar, Library, GiftShop, Health Spa Complex, Water Sports Center, Reception-lobby-front Office Building, Cashier & Executive Office, Administration Office, Back of the House Buildings, Service & Utilities Areas, Main Pool & Terrace, Fun Pool & Terrace, road & pavement and covered car park.  All the buildings mentioned were of tropical architecture and were individually designed.
