The mill, sited on 230 rai of land in Mab Ta Phut Industrial Estate, was planned and designed to produce up to 300,000 metric tons per year of concrete reinforcing steel in the first phase. Contained in the master plan were production building, scrap yard, warehouse and workshop, water plant, administration building, canteen, power substation, weigh bridges, access and interior roadways and empty space for future expansion. In the structural design of the production building much attention was paid to 125 metric ton long span overhead travelling cranes and complex heavy machine foundations.
